Malted Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Thin and chewy malted double chocolate chip cookies with semi-sweet and dark chocolate chips. Perfect for dunking in a glass of milk!

We love when the stars align.

That's how it felt the first time I made this recipe.

It was a Friday night, I wanted cookies, but I didn't feel like making any of my existing recipes. So I threw these together on the fly, scribbled down what I did (just in case they worked out - they usually don't on the first try), and they came out....perfect.

They've got crispy edges, but not to the point where they're crunchy. The middles are soft and chewy, but still hold up - so long as you let them cool on the tray.

The salted butter and the assorted chocolate chips make this the perfect Friday night cookie to dip in a cold glass of milk.

I hope you get as much joy out of them as I have :)

This malted double chocolate chip cookie recipe...

  • has a malted milk flavor that's just enough and is heightened when dipped in milk,
  • has two different types of chocolate chips but you can create your preferred combo,
  • and is made by hand - yay no fancy mixer!

As always, happy baking!

-Sierra

I have been in a horrid reading slump and this book snatched me right out of it. The follow up to What the River Knows (also great), this was a satisfying conclusion to the duology that takes us back to late 1800 Egypt on a wild adventure.

Free Ways to Support Fickle Bea Bakehouse

First of all, if you're signed up for this newsletter, you're already supporting my blog in one of the best ways possible - thank you for being here!

If you're wondering how to further support my blog in a way that won't put any stress on your wallet (oof, the world is expensive these days), here are some great places to start:

  1. If you try a recipe, leave a review (even if you didn't like how it came out - all feedback helps!). I know it sounds silly, but leaving a review helps a ton. If someone sees my recipe on Google and sees that it has at least one review, they're much more likely to engage with my site. The more reviews, the better! It builds trust with the reader and helps them know what to expect.
  2. Share recipes with your friends! If you like a recipe, feel free to share it with those in your circle who might also enjoy it.
  3. Follow along on social media. If social media isn't your thing, don't worry about this one!

I appreciate and am grateful for all of your support and love sharing my recipes with you!
